Question Looking for D'Addarios that will sound good with...

I use Ibanez SR 500 series mahagony basses, I think the Bartolini pickups on those things are very nice, but I'm looking for strings that can take advantage of the good pickups and produce good sounds.
I've tried some steel strings, and I think steel strings sound too "metal" ish (well duh all strings are metals), and it sounds way to flat and hollow, and nickels sound better.
Now I'm using Ernie Ball super slinky (the pinkish purple ones) and I thought I'd try out D'Addarios. Can anyone suggest some roundwound nickel on nickel D'Addarios with gauges (perferably) 40-95 that will make mellow and clear highs with clean and not so fusion-like lows? (Such as the Victor Wooten sound)

Um...Well...That's pretty specific, so you've pretty much narrowed it down to the D'Addario XL220 set.
