Looking for long flats

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a string through body Schecter 4 string that I want to string up with some flats. I tried D'addario long scale chromes, but those aren't quite there. I also Bought a set of Rotosound flats which I had to return because they weren't long enough.

Can you guys recommend any flats that are long enough besides the Super Long Scale D'addario's?

TI Jazz Flats come in a 36" set. I've used their 34" set on a 30" scale bass with no problems, so too long shouldn't be an issue. Their tone and feel are not necessarily for everyone, however...

Rotosounds also come in an "extra long" set (RS77EL) if you liked those.

I tried them on a Gibson Ripper (strung-thru) with no issues, `cept
I preferred the tone and feel of the TI-JF364's .

The long scale TIs are good. I like the GHS Precision flats myself. Their standard set can fit 34-36 inch scales. I use the .40-.95 sets.

My Schecter Elite-5 has a string length from bridge to nut of 38" which require super long strings. If yours is the same I'm sure you're going to need them to.
