Looking for a particular set.

I've got a Fender 5 string Jazz bass that I bought in December. Does anyone know what strings came equipt on this bass or know of an equivalent set?

On the ball end of the low B and E strings there's about 2 inches of the coil that's exposed, of which I thought was pretty cool because I thought the response was a bit differant and I liked what I heard and felt.

Anyone know who makes set's like this and what the model number of these sets are?

Thanks.

I believe they would be Fender Super Bass 8250-5, in nickel plated steel. Not sure of stock gauge, but I would bet they are mediums.

Maybe that's what they are refered as (the B and E having a "tapered end") and I didn't know. Never saw this kind of string prior to getting my 5 string.

Fender Super Bass 8250-5's? Thanks, Tim. The current set on my bass mic's as: 45-65-85-110-130.
