Loudest unamplified string type?

It might sound silly but I am curious if a certain type of string tends to play louder unplugged/unamplified than other types?

My first thought was that hex-core stainless strings would be the loudest in this manner, but I have no experience with them.

My other thought was tighter strings might be louder unplugged, just a hunch.

Probably high tension, heavy gauge rounds.

^ That is true, in my experience. My 118-49 set of Circle Ks was very, very loud unplugged, as were my 112-46 set of Labella Steels.
