Love DR strings

I just bought a set of DR string today in the music shop because i heard many many great things about DR strings so i gave them a shot.

Took it home and quickly restring my bass with the DR, have little problem while restring but is ok at the end. the string tend to be longer than my Ernie ball slinky and Rotosound but it strung up nicely at the end.

Sound:

I always thought i want something really deep and dark so i use flatwound like Labella and Rotosound flats. But i end up taken them off because they are not my cup of tea. I always feel the high tension is not my style and i miss the highs on my bass. So i decide to use Ernie Ball regular slinky nickel strings and i thought they will do me good since they can get abit of both like stainless and flats. But ended up taken them off within 2 weeks of use. After I strung my Bass with the DR Lo-Rider and i was amaze how good these strings are.

Nice clean and bright high sounds from the D and G strings and nice deep and mellow sound on the E and A strings. This is what i want my bass to sound like and i finally got it.

Congrats man. I just got a set of .45 -.105 Lo riders yesterday. Sound pretty good so far (very bright), but I have yet to use them in a band setting, so I'll reserve my judgment for now.

I've been using the Xtra life coated strings for a long time now and love the fact that they are not overly bright when they go and they sound that way for a long time...and the colors are cool too.
