Yeah. I should have elaborated. I was testing it with all of the strings ordered as F#-G, but with the F# using a detuned B, just to get a feel for the adjusted range to see if it's something I want. So I figure with a proper F# string the resulting tension will have a slightly different affect.

That's about the gauge I was considering. Hopefully nickel. Thanks for all of the pointers guys.

I'm running a Circle K .182 low G (really high tension. I'm about to drop to drop F or F#) on my Warwick 6er. The taper fits perfectly on the bridge, no issues and the nickel/steel strings are amazing sounding IMHO

I think the Warwick .175 is steel, if you want nickelplated steel outer wrap CKS may be the only option.

Yes, indeed...our F# .175 string is stainless steel. Thanks!

Are O4P also steels? I thought they had a NPS option too.

There is conflicting info on one page but yes O4P can do NPS http://garrygoodman.com/octave4plus.com.htm
Sorry i gave the wrong info on CKs not fitting on the Warwick bridge, they obviously work for James and a few others i have seen post. I have also seen one person post who couldn't get them to work .. dunno why
They're so good though it's worth trying

I have had success with the Circle K Strings .190 tuned to F# on my Carvin LB76. All of the nut slots had to be widened. Make sure whatever string you use fits in your bridge.
