lower gauge and tension

if using lower gauge (compared with original gauge), I thought the tension is lowered, do I need to adjust truss rod?
Pls advise. thanks.

Yes you likely will. There is less tension on the neck with lighter gauges, removing some or all of the relief you have.

thanks! in this case, should I loosen the truss rod ? pls advise.

Indeed, you would have to loosen the truss rod - this assuming the neck moves when you switch your string set out.

Caution;
Gage is not relevant to tension. A lighter gage could very well be higher in tension than a heavier gage. Not always but it's best to check first.

theres only one way to find out.... just try it. truss rod adjustment are pretty easy
