in the market for some new strings

Sign in to disble this ad
K I mainly play real heavy rock/metal and im in the market for some new strings. I have always used EB Regular Slinkys but im wondering if there is anything better i could use

I want a string that can cut through the mix of 2 guitarists. i dont want it to be to bright though i still like those nice deep lows. and it needs to be able to take a beating...i tend to play kinda hard :/

please post kind of string and guage

thanks in advance

Rotosounds. I put em on my Jazz bass and it really punches now. Really nice low end and you can dial in some highs if you like, but its a great sound IMO.
Ive used DR highbeams, D'Addarios, slinkies, and a few more and I like rotosounds the best.

Its a big orange box that says swing bass 66. medium gauge 95 - 75 - 60 - 40.
I think they come in other gauges if you want something different.

I've used both DR Hi Beams and Rotosound Swing Bass 66s and recommend them both. I'm not really sure which ones I liked more though.

The SH strings are flat wounds and will be much more mellow sounding.
