I always wanted to make something out of broken/old strings. I have saved all my broken strings (for some reason) does anyone have any ideas, tutorials, or websites, or something that has made something out of broken strings? I think they would make a pretty cool braclet. |

I considered making bracelets, but I'm not crafty. I might cut off the ball ends and let my girlfriend use those as beads or something. Great if you use D'addario or Hartke since they have colored ball-ends.

| | | Here's a bracelet I made last night. I used a g string because it was the most flexible/bendable. I also clipped the beads off of the strings and put them on. I'm going to add to it as my strings wear out, but I always keep a back up set.
Sorry for the camera phone picture. |

Sorry for the camera phone picture. | That's pretty cool man and it also signifies how long you've been playing bass but is there a way to make the braclet smooth? or a continuious strand? |

| | | If there is, I don't have the tools to do it.
I made that one so that it's adjustable. That's what the little black rubber collar is for.
Oh, and I took the beads off because they will turn your arm blue when you sweat. |
