How long is the tapered part on the B str. from ballend to full wound... and how long is the total length of the B str. from ball end to the end of full wound.
My Clover XP15.5 bass is just 945mm (37.204") from ball end point to the center of the B str. string post/tuner and ca 25,4mm (1") from ballend to bridge sadle.
So there is some limits to my string choice

LaBella Hard Rocking Steel
GHS Contact-Core Super steels
Sadowsky Roundwound
Pedulla Stainless steel
Carvin 5011
(does the measurements varies between different gauges of the same brand) ?
