Question Medium scale D'Addario Half Rounds

Sign in to disble this ad
Yesterday I bought a set of D'Addario Half Rounds, medium scale (the ENR71M set). On the package it states, "32 inch (813mm) scale length used for tension measurements."
The question is: I only discovered that they are medium scale when I got home. I bought them for a regular 34" scale bass. Is there any chance they will fit on there?
I can't give any info on winding lengths, etc., because I don't want to open the package in case I need to return them.
Thanks...

Return them and buy a long scale set. It may be a pain the old kiester, but you'll be a happier person in the end. I've been in the same situation with a different brand of string set, and the medium gauge sets usually won't work with long gauge instruments.
