Midi/Piezo with flatwounds

Hey all

I've almost got all the bits to get my bass built and have a couple of questions before i get the setup done. (incidently it's a Fender 62RI body with a Warmoth lined fretless neck with J-retro/barts that will mainly be used with my Roland V-bass).

I have a Graphtech/Hipshot bridge for the hexpander system and need to know which strings will be best for use with it.

I fancy something along the lines of the Thomastik Infeld's flatwound strings but I'm unsure which are best with piezos and for midi triggering.

My other basses are set with fairly low tension and low action for tapping/general finger style, but i need a setup which is also stable for intonation across the neck for when using midi modules such as either my GR-1/GR30.

Can any of you recommend a set of Flats that would work for this?

Also which nuts have you guys had good results with? I've currently been looking at Graphtech's Tusq/Trem-nut but need something that creates low fretboard noise (unintentional string noise) to avoid glitching on the midi tracking.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

I have the Status black nylon tapewounds on my ABG now. The tension is not high, pretty close the roundwound strings I already had on the bass.
