| I personally use them on several basses and they are okay. I really like their thickness and harsh feel. They sound good but are not what Jerry Only originally envisioned. After talking with him about the strings he told me how Markley had shown him "prototypes" of his strings with a solid, one piece core and he liked them and told them to go ahead and make them. However, they went ahead (using his endorsement) and produced a cheaper string with a multi-string core that he breaks very easily (just see him live and you see that he breaks the strings playing with his fingers, NO PICK)...he plays hard and they are ok strings; but not the super strings Jerry had envisioned. |
