Mixing pure nickel RW gauges?

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone done this?

I've been looking into mixing gauges of pure nickel but I don't think I can get them in singles in the gauges I want from any of the companies that offer it.

I'm looking for more tension on the lower strings and less on the uppers. Since few companies publish their tensions I'm thinking just go by gauge, 110-85-60-40. I've got Medium Sunbeams on now but it seems they don't come in 110 so they're out.

Does anyone know of any others that I should look into or should I just switch to a hex or SS core to cast a wider net?

The only pure nickle strings I'm aware of are the DR Johnas Helborg signature strings which only come in 40-100. Pretty much all nickle strings are just nickle plated that includes Sunbeams.
