MM Stingray Classic nut matching .85 A and .105 E strings?

Hi!

I need some more tension on my strings as I play with a pick most of the time recently, and I’m going to get a set with .85 A and .105 E strings instead of standard .80 and .100 which feel a bit too loose for me for hard pick playing. As far as I remember I’ve read somewhere on TB that Stingray nut is cut to match factory .45 - .100 set, but not thicker. And I wonder what about Classic Stingray vintage skinny nut. Can I use .85 A and .105 E strings without any nut modification?

I never see a nut that wasn't able to take a .105 E, but you can't really know without trying it. You could also find some 45-100 strings that got more tension.

Do DR Lo-Rider/Nickel Lo-Rider have more tension than Ernie Ball Slinky?

So I decided to order medium-lite set of Nickel Lo-Riders. I’ve just received the strings. But I’m quite surprised – NMLH-45 set is supposed to be 45-65-80-100, but on my package there is 45-65-85-100 printed. Is it the wrong package inscription or do I really have 85 A string? Maybe I have some old stock set which is not on sale anymore? Any suggestions?
