"The high tension LaBellas you speak of must be the 760FM set or the 0760M 'Jamerson' set, which are indeed high tension. But the 760FX, 760FL, and 760FS sets by LaBella are all lower tension than the Chromes that I tried (the Chromes I tried are the 45-100), IME.

For the people that keep calling LaBellas high tension, I strongly suggest you try some of the lighter gauged sets I mentioned."

So I was originally set on TIs but am now considering the LaBella Extra Lights if the tension is indeed not as high.

La Bella Electric Bass Guitar Deep Talkin' Bass Extra Light Medium Scale, .039 - .096, Stainless Steel Flat Wound, 760FX-M

Couple of questions:
I haven't been able to find any indication of the string-through option from an online dealer, so any help there would be appreciated.

also,
Are the string-through sets manufactured with a longer length, or should I still plan on ordering the medium scale for short scale string-through application?

La Bella just created a set of 760FL Mustang strings in June 2010. Hopefully they will be ready soon. I can't wait to get a set on my Mustang!
