They are already on my short scale Cort, helping it sound very big, in place of the year-old unknown strings that were on it when I bought it. | Which Cort? I have the (SS) Action Bass Jr which gives a great "modern" MusicMan like tone with its single humbucker. I can't imagine flats on that - I am thinking of putting flats or progressive wounds on an old 80's (SS) Cort I have that has a "P" pickup .

Also, DR Sunbeams are not flats or half-rounds. They are a nickel round wound with a round core, but real smooth feeling, like a half-round. To me their tone falls somewhere in between XL's and GHS pressurewounds. They are an experiment.
Regardless, they woke up the little bass, making it sound a lot like my 77 Stingray, except a lot lighter on the shoulder, and more fun to play. I can't put it down right now. |

Jason was a super nice guy and he had an adorable dog too. I really enjoyed the visit and saw some cool gigbags as well (Vertigo was really nice..)
Thanks, Jason!

Best price, even with CA tax and shipping and since my string shop is only 5 hours down the road they will be here in no time. My only concern is what the new color of the BSO sticker might be. Shhhh dont tell me.

Take Care,
Brent

Right now I have about six or seven sets just waiting to be put on.

I wouldnt have bought them anyways. Everything I can think of needing is there. Ive gotten more into flats and tapes as of late and all the ones I would try/need are there.

They're the only string left that I want to try, and he carries all of them. He's always a great guy with whom to do business. |
