I've got a custom Boomer set coming in the mail to try out for Drop Bb. I was going to go with Circle K (which I normally do for lower tunings), but I realized I could get similar gauges from Boomers. I can't get enough of GHS right now, so I figure I'd give 'em a whirl.

I have them written down somewhere, but one that intrigues me is the Knucklehead's Doublewide!

I just placed my 1st order through Bass Strings Online rather than Just Strings where I have went through for years. The prices are comparable and actually a bit cheaper. Besides that - I'd rather give my business to a TB member anyway. New customer.

Listen to this guys; I sent my order about 1 1/2 hours ago, and just got a shipping notification/tracking number already!

1 1/2 Hours!

Thanks Jason, but I wasn't in that big of a hurry.

He gets my strings from California to New York very quickly. You might get your strings later tonight if you're in WA.

After checking out Jason's site and seeing what they offer and the prices I immediately just signed up for a account on the site. On top of their already great prices they offer killer discounts too which is just awesome! I don't need bass strings yet, however when I do I'll being using BSO from now on.

Luckily I can wait for the strings as they will be used for a solo project. I'll let it slide.

This time.

I emailed Jason earlier in the week about something and he answered my question and informed me he was out of town due to a loss in his family. I thought I'd share that, so everyone knows why he's out of pocket unexpectedly. Thoughts and prayers with you, man.

Love working with them! Got me set up with a custom "signature" Ken Smith set at an AWESOME price! (used to pay over $60/set with Fodera) I'm currently trying to have my signature strings offered with two options of low strings (.120T or .125T) for those times when I, or others, need/want a beefier bottom.

Which set of our strings were you buying for this price (over $60)? The only set that we make that costs anywhere near that is the Anthony Jackson set and even that set is $65 at full retail...

Regards,

Jason

It was a custom gauge set that was put together for me by Laura using individual strings. When one of the gauges I used was discontinued I could no longer order "my set", so I had to search for a string supplier that could accommodate what I needed. Thanx to a PM from slapinfunk due to a forum post here everything is good again!

I wish Fodera would do singles without having to buy 10 of each string

I recently got an order... and HE SPIT ON MY STRINGS!!!

Ha, but seriously. Just got another order yesterday and couldn't be happier, and excited to throw some Cocos (?) on my Stingray, I had never heard of them but as a DR guy I'll try another hand made string.
