My first question ever with strings
So i have a shecter stilleto extreme 5, great bass, got it for 300 dollars, but im wondering, how can i tell im getting the correct strings for 35 inch scale? Came with generic dead nickel strings and i have to change em:spit:
What strings would you recommend for brightness, while also compromising: some of it for longevity?
you can try here

Lots of info here on TB if you search for bassstringsonline.
Just make sure the strings say long scale, if you want brightness and longevity check these out:
I personally use Rotosound swing bass 66 steel roundwound strings, they last me about a 1 month-1 1/2 months and they have my favorite tone.
DR high beams.
Definitely try bassstringsonline.com Measure the distance from the ball end of the string to the tuner closest to the nut. Also measure distance from ball end to nut. Let Jason know these measurements and he will be able to tell you what strings will work for you and which ones will best fit your needs...
Also let him know you're a Talkbass member, he gives discounts to fellow members.
