My new favorites

Okay, so I'm a fan of different strings on different basses. Man, I just put on a set of DR Sunbeams on my Linc Luthier Impression 5-string, and they are killer. I had used them once before many years ago, and they are so much better than I remembered.

So my favorite strings are:

DR Sunbeams (for my Linc Impression)
DR Fatbeams (for my Kinal DK5)
Ken Smith Compressors (for my Linc fretless)

I also dig D'Addario Chromes (which I currently have on my Modulus VJ) and LaBella flats. I have also always loved DR Lo-Riders, although I'm digging the softer feel of the round core DRs these days as they seem more consistent than they used to be. I have a set of Nickel Lo-Riders I'm going to try on my Kinal MK5B (if it doesn't sell first)..... My old favorites were the D'Addario Slowounds, but I've not been so fond of the XLs, although my tech swears that they intonate better than DRs. My tech doesn't have to dig my strings though--I'm the one playing the bass!

Just thought I'd share my thoughts on strings. Get some Sunbeams!

I understand. Although I like to experiment and try new strings, when I find a set of strings that I like that really make the bass sound good, I am satisfied to keep that particular set on the bass from then on.
Some of the strings I like: TI Jazz flats, GHS Precision Flats, Fender 7250-5 lights for my 5 strings, Fender 9250 tapewounds, D'Addario Chromes, Fender 5250 Original Nickel.
