Mystery flats

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got an unknown set of flats that came on a used bass I bought a while back. I finally tried 'em out and they're not half bad, but I have no idea what kind they are or who makes them. All I can tell you is that they're flats with blue silk at each end and the gauges are .050 .070 .085 .105.
Anyone have any clues?

If it is a light blue they might be d'Addario chromes

In Montana they have signs over bars that say,"Before engaging your mouth, make sure your mind is in gear!"

Yeah, if they have multi-colored ball ends then they are probably Chromes.

Nope, the ball ends are brass. The windings are a darker but not quite navy blue.

Sounds like Group II Ernie Ball flats. I just put a set of Group II flats on my new Stingray and it sounds great.
