I broke my A string last night and I decided to change all the strings because they were dull. The gauge's of my G and D strings were .045 and .065. I'm changing them to .040 and .060. I'm doing it myself (first time ever). Do I need to adjust anything or can I just go ahead and change the strings?

You will probably need to re-set your intonation. I'm sure it won't be off by a lot if it was already set right, but it never hurts to make sure it's perfect. For the record, I check intonation every time I re-string.

For those that don't know how to set intonation check here:
