Naked Strings- Best Strings I have ever used!

Sign in to disble this ad
I got my Naked strings in the mail. I took my Fender Flats off, oiled the fingerboard with lemon oil, put on the new strings, tuned it, then fainted...

Just kidding, I didn't faint, but I did have tears of joy...

Kidding about that one too...

You guys don't understand how great these strings are! It has the sound I've been looking for, they are cheap, and I have 3 sets!

I highly recommend these strings.

I have never bought the same brand of string twice, but I'm sure I will buy these strings again...

You removed flats and put on rounds?

I'm happy you found tone Nirvana.... but I think you just established that you prefer apples instead of oranges.

They're pretty nice, especially for the price. IME they get really stiff after a few months and develop a nasaly midrange character that I'm not fond of.

I thought I needed flats for the tone i wanted, but now it looks as if I needed rounds the whole time.

I'm happy though!

Zero. I don't have the money to buy 40 different strings. If it sounds good, then it's what I want.

I'm sorry William, I don't put much salt in a person who comes on and says "These are the best...(insert item here) I have ever used!" when all they have tried is a couple or so of said items.

You tell us "You guys don't understand how great these strings are!" but to be honest in placing that within the context of your limited experience, neither do you.

But I am glad you enjoy them though.

Yeah I've never eaten alligator snout, so the next alligator snout I eat will be the best alligator snout I've EVER eaten!! Problem with that is...it could also be the worst. I won't know until I have alligator snout somewhere else. Catch my drift?

I said they are the best strings I have used. I never said they were the best strings ever created...

And I've used other rounds in my life time... So this "Alligator snout" is the best I've eaten so far.

Glad you are happy with the strings. Just to let you know I ordered 3 sets. I usually put on DR and Pro Steels. But at the price they sell it, I just wanted to try them. I think its worth the try. These days if you can find something that is good for you at a good price its worth the try.

Can't speak for the snout, but Gator tail tastes curiously like chicken tenders from your local dive.

As for the strings, Considering how expensive they are, "trying" them all isn't cheap, and not all of us can afford 5 or 6 string sets at $40-$60 a pop. Just sayin'.
