so i needed new strings real bad. the good'ol dr highbeams have about had it. i went to the closest music shop to buy my strings, and they usually have my strings, but not today. not getting strings this week was not an option, so i went with a set of ernie ball regular slinkys. i've only ever used dr highbeams, and i love them so much. what should i expect from the slinkys. oh, if it helps, my bass is a 4 string warwick bolt-on thumb bass. i appreciate all the help. i was really a little upset that i had to settle with the slinkys. i won't keep them on long, but you know. thanks.

What do you mean, "what should I expect from the Slinkys" ? Once you put them on your bass you'll immediately have an opinion on how they sound and feel. I don't know what it is you want to know.

Settle for "slinkys".

That's all I use. I like em, but my hands don't sweat so they do go dead on me as quick.

I didn't like DR's when I tried them. Apples, Oranges.

EB Slinkys is the only round wound strings I use. They feel and sound smooth and keep tune after you break them in.

Always keep an extra set of strings handy just for this very reason. When you put the second set on,order another 2 or 3 sets.Or don't wait till the're completely dead before you look for new strings.
