Need help on particular gauge

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys,

I'd like to get a .115 string for my E string (usually dropped to C sharp), but it's pretty rare.
If possible, I'd like to have a roundwound one.
I know GHS has a set of .050-.115 Bass Boomers, but I have played once on Boomers and found their sound too bright, almost harsh to my ears.

Do you know any other brand that makes sets of .///-.115 ?
(I don't really care about the gauge for the 3 other strings, as long as they're heavy enough not to be guitar strings )

If so, what are your comments about this/these brand(s)/strings ?
Would you suggest that I stick with a .110 gauge to get more possibilities ?

Thanks for your advice!

DR can custom make sets, at least with their standard sizes. Don't know if they make a .115, but they might be worth a look. good luck!

juststrings.com has links to all of the strings they offer categorized by instrument and by manufacturer. It will take a little time, but you can browse through everything (Well, everything that THEY sell) in one sitting.

Circle K has a 125-90-70-50 set. They're also adding some other gauges for the E string (.118 and .112, I believe) sometime in the next month or so.
