I am going to replace my string on my HighwayOne P bass. I basically play classic rock. Any recomendations? I currently have fender superbass 7250ML stings on there now. Thanks

Do you have a budget? What don't you like about the Fenders?

Budget is not an issue, and I don't have a problem with the fenders. I was just wondering if there was something out there that is better than the fenders?

Better is subjective. My favorite flatwounds are DRs. They are really flexible and smooth, but the sound is different from other flats. They have a very strong fundamental and low mids, but very little in high mids and harmonics. They are really good strings if you like a very deep focused sound with very little brightness.

Classic rock = Labella Deep Talkin' flats. Great strings that last practically forever.

Yup, "better" is subjective. Personally, I really like DR Nickel-Plated Lo Riders.
