The Conklin power steel High F string has a gauge of .018...it's stainless, but I don't know of many makers who even have bass strings that thin. Some of the guys here know about custom strings, maybe they'll have more to say.

yay dyslexia! don't some of the new low C# sharp strings have .195 gauges?
