Need a not-so-floppy set of rounds for a Short Scale Jazz

Hey all,

This past weekend i switched out the set of La'Bella Flats i had on my short scale SX Jaguar (J/J) for a set of unknown rounds.

Man, i REALLY missed that Jazz w/Rounds tone... but the set i have on there is so floppy, it's negatively impacting my play style. Does anyone know of a good round set for a short scale that has some decent tension?

Thanks!

Two basic considerations:

1. Go up in gauges in order to increase tension.
2. Hex-core strings are less floppy compared to the round-core counterparts of the same gauge.

The floppy rounds in question are already a .045 - .105 set, i don't REALLY want to go much thicker than that.

I'll look into some hex-cores, though!

my faves - DR Lo Riders and Rotosound Swing 66, SS or nickel for both. Great tension, I play with a pick often.

I'll look into some rotos. I've had good experiences with Rotos on a 34" jazz.

The set I have now is fine with the pick, but I play with my fingers more, and I guess I really dig in... :/
