Thats basically it. I am a nickel string lover, but its getting hard to find nickels with silk ends still. IMO it just looks classier to have that nicely coloured silk on the headstock, and fender no longer makes em so i need to find another company.
Anyone have good suggestions for pure nickel strings, with silk end wraps?

To be honest, I'm in the same boat as the OP, I just need them without silk. I've had the same flatwounds for years.

If you need them without silk, rotos' other nickel strings are the same exact strings, just without the silk. they usually run a little cheaper too.

Great sound, long life (longer than the SS ones) and lovely blue silks! |

Also the fender strings no longer have silk ends, which caused my problems when I bought a new set of pure nickels and it didn't have any silk! Lol
It's to know what to buy now without being able to see the string ends and play the strings.

However, I tend to change strings frequently for different uses, and HATE fraying string ends that result from swapping silked strings through non-slotted bridges. |

| | | | Another vote for rotosound swing 66 nickel. I do agree silk gives a little richer, classier look to strings. Unless its dr neons. Wouldnt want silk on them cause theyre allready rich color. Lol.
