Need some help ordering Chromes please

Sign in to disble this ad
I was just on a website ordering some D'Addario Chromes for my Stingray 5 , But I am not sure which ones to get, the LONG SCALE, or the SUPER LONG SCALE ???

This is my first time trying flats. After reading about so many people on here trying them and loving them, I am ordering my first set.

Super Longs are usually only needed for 35" Scale basses, or basses that require 'string through body' bridges.

Your Stingray should be 34" Scale. So Long Scale should be fine.

Last week I bought some d'Addarios half rounds 'Long Scale'. They're good for my 34" scale, but would fit on 35" too. When your bass is string through body, I would go with the 'Super Long Scale'

Just Strings has them for $28.91: http://www.juststrings.com/dad-ecb82.html

I'm not clear on their reputation, but I am under the impression Just Strings is a respected vendor.

The Perfect Bass is having 20% off right now, and the strings are included. With the promo code "Rocktober" they come to $20.79 a set.

Looks like with the discount for a 5 string set is $27. I was quoting a 4 string set earlier.
