Need some taper-wounds!

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a pair of Warwick 5-strings, and I don't feel like doing any bridge modification... so, I'm looking for some hex-core, 5-string taperwounds. I don't care whether they're stainless or nickel; however, I need something that's as easy as possible on my frets. I'm also not into coated strings.

This essentially leaves me with Dean Markley SR2000's, or DR Long Necks. Are there any other strings anyone else can think of, and how good are these two models at preventing fret-wear?

Thanks!
