Heres a good website for strings in general- http://www.juststrings.com/electricbassguitar.html

Rotosound Flats- http://www.juststrings.com/rotosound...rjazzbass.html
(Steve Harris uses these, they may take getting used to as they're flats and you're most likely used to roundwounds but its worth it. Flats are shweet)

P.S. if you would rather have alot of brightness and crunch, check out regular Rotos or comparable SS rounds. Or nickel. Go crazy, there's tons of strings for what you'd like)

I would highly recommend DR stainless steel strings.
Either Hi-Beam or Lo-Rider series.
I usually stick with 45-105 gauge.

They are bit more expensive than most brands but worth the price.
They sound good even after 1 year.
I've tried many strings and feel no reason to switch from DR strings.

GHS Bass Boomers are good and cheap and they last a decent amount of time.
