Need Super Heavy Gauge Strings!!!! HELP!!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Need some recommendations on some really heavy gauge strings, i dont know anyone who does them.

Im tuned low.... G,C,G,C,F,Bb...

Any ideas, im using a 145 - 50, but my low strings still flop around way too much for what i like - im thinking a 160ish.

any one point me in the right direction..

Thanks

You might have to go the "assemble your own set" route, especially for a .145. Try looking around juststrings.com.

unfortunately, D'addario has discontinued a lot of their single strings. if the sizes you want are still available in their regular sets then you are set.

try their sting tension guide to get an idea of the gauges you are looking for: http://www.google.com/url?q=http://w...ggAiwcQhuL3bjw

Have you tried S.I.T. ?

I think they make as large as a 170......or at least they did a couple of years ago when I made an inquiery.

They even make them in stainless.
