New to BG...gauges

I'm an upright player who recently acquired my first decent fretless BG. I'm glancing at D'addario sets (flats) http://www.firstqualitymusic.com/search.asp?keyword=C_EB%20%20C_STRINGS&pageno=2&ca tid={8303DC1F-14BB-4B52-AC67-C362564F9AA1} ...and it seems most are 45-100. These are labled "lights." I quit using any kind of light gauge strings 30 years ago (when I sought Ernie Ball Super Slinkys and a Les Paul).

What is a medium gauge? 50-105?

The different manufacturers have different ideas about "medium", but a very common one seems to be:
45-65-85-105.
