I guess I didn't get the memo -- as I was ordering from Juststrings.com I noticed that DR has added these new colors to the blue, red and black they offered before. The website also shows a pic with yellow and a different shade of blue.
So, anybody strung up with these yet? Pics please! The pink ones would look mega-hot on my white bass but I'm too spoiled by the nickel lo-riders to switch. |

Very sexy.
Personally, I think the pink ones look tight as hell and want to get a set for my LeCompte, but I'm just not sure whether it would be worth it, because I want Hi-Beams, and if that sound can't be reached with the Pink Strings, they're not worth it. |

Downside is the coating wears off, and then you're left with splotchy silver and whatever color bass strings. So if you're really doing it for style points, you have to replace your strings well before they're worn out just to keep the color right. I'll be putting hi-beams on that bass when one of the black strings break.
I'm a bass player not a bass fashion model.

I wasn't overly impressed with their lifespan and they looked like a banded snake when the color started to wear off. I've since decided to pass on gimicky colors.

Sure the coating wears through here and there, but nothing really noticeable from the stage. The audience seems to dig the colors. It's my little "Bootsy" moment.

I'm putting Brand new Red Devils on my Black EB-3 Bass, Very hot! Ill post pics once I get the strings in. |

| | | | DR Hot Pink Strings I just got the DR Hot Pink strings for my bass.
To be honest, they're more of a purple then a pink but they're still pretty awesome.
I've only had them on for a week or so, but they sound good.
Although the fact that I've only been playing for a month or so may affect my opinion on what sounds good. |

I dig the coated strings and they have solved my acid hands problem. One of my basses won't look that great with coloured strings. I'm trying to track down a set of the silvers for that bass.
