New (old) strings day

Friend of mine found these hiding in the back of a closet and gave them to me. Any thoughts as to how old (they appear to be CBS era from the corp info on the back) and are they likely to be worth my time putting them on anything?

There are some people here at Talk Bass who speak fondly of the old Fender flats, before they went to the 9050 model. They might be valuable to someone.

I'd put them on ebay. There are heaps of nicer flats out there from what I garner.

Might as well try them out. They must be like several years old. I have never seen them packaged like that before. Unless you want to put them on ebay for a collector, I'd say use them.
