Zakk,

Glad to have you. May be checking out DR's in the future. I currently use D'Addario Nickel XL's. What do you have that is comparable?

BTW, please reference our Commercial User Policy at: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/faq.ph...policy#faq_cup ... you are a commercial user, your title needs to reflect that.

My only Question is:
Where do we get the free samples? I'm just not sure that DR strings are for me. But I'm on the fence about it. I'm thinking samples could really make me a customer for life.
Bootsy sigs. Those would be cool samples.

Hey Zakk....welcome.

I LOVE DRs....especially nickel lo-riders and sunbeams. Do you guys make those with taper cores on the B and E? (for a warwick....)

Hi,

Do Fatbeams come in Nickel? At juststrings.com they have SS only. Thanks.

DRs are the ONLY strings I use. I've tried practically everything... Fender, Fodera, GHS, Elixir, Prism, Rotosound, D'addario, Dean Markley, Ken Smith, Ernie Ball, LaBella, and SIT... none... NONE have ever compared to tone and longevity of any set of DRs I happen to pick up. My favorites happen to be Fat Beams and Lo Riders.

Whatever it is you guys do over there... keep doing! You're doing it absolutely correct. The tension... the feel... and the tone!! Arghh!!!!

Welcome to TB, DRSTRINGS17!

I haven't found a string that compares to my Sunbeams on my Rickenbacker....not wanting to go for S.S., and yet still wanting the "Chris Squire" sound, I found them to sound excellent, and feel sooo smooth....

Only two questions though..

Is it normal for the E string to finally get dullish(not fully dead) after 13 months of use, whilst the others are still really bright? - .....I know the E probably gets used more than the A,D, or G strings, and they have only ever been wiped off with a clean towel, nothing else..

...and, will you guys ever offer custom guages in Sunbeams..like 110-85-65-45 instead of 105-85-65-45(not really a big deal)?

P.S. - this is comparing them to Fender Super Bass, Fender Pure Nickel, D'addario XL 160's and 170's, DM Blue Steels, Ernie Ball Hybrids, Elixers, GHS Boomers, Ken Smith Rockbrights, ...and more
