new strings....

Sign in to disble this ad
basically i'm looking for quite bright strings, but i need them to last a long time, thats the main factor really.

i really liked rotosound swing bass steel but they seemed to go dead quite quickly and they dragged quite alot on my fingers.

price isnt a major factor but i dont want to spend too much.

they must be worth it for the price though.

anyone got any ideas?

the reason i ask is i dont have that much money to go round buying loads of different strings to try out, so i'd like to try and keep the ammount of choice down to a minimum.

thanks.

Have you thought about D'Addario ProSteels? I really enjoy them and they last a while.

+1. Give them a week or so to break in, and then they'll be great.

-1 to Elixirs. If you want bright, you will never find it in a coated string.

The longest lasting strings I've ever used was the Dean Markley Blue Steels.

I use D'Addario XLs all the time, they're bright and slick.
