New strings for 4 string bass!!

I've been using Erney Ball Roundwound strings since i got my bass which was about 6 months ago. I've been beginning to see some rust on the G string as well as on the other strings. So I was wondering which strings I should buy. Right now my strings are 50% nickel and 50% stainless steel.

Lots of folks in here like DR strings. I just put a new set of DR Sunbeams on my p bass, and couldn't be happier with them. They're very mellow for a roundwound, probably mellower than your Ernie Balls were.

If you're interested in flatwound, check out D'Addario Chromes, another favorite on TB.

Although, a question: why were your strings rusty? No string, no matter how crap, should get rusty, especially not in 6 months. Do you store your bass in a case? In the garage? Do you live in a very humid place like Hawaii?

BTW, welcome to TalkBass, and don't forget that there is a search function in this forum that should help you answer 90% of your questions without having to ask. No harm in asking anyway, but some folks might get cranky if you ask a question they've already answered 100 times.

Enjoy!
