Hello all
I play Fender Jazz 24, an awsome bass,
So that is a string through body bridge...if that matters
And my strings are 9 month old,
So it's a time for a change, eh
Price is not a big deal for me
As i spend average of $150 for my cello strings
And compared to that, which is a bit above average for cello string cost, bass strings are really really cheap
I am a hobbyist, and i jam with my buddies once in a while
And when i play along with the songs,
My bass sounds a lot more brighter than
Most of the songs that i play along with
I listen to pop punk/alt rock/punk rock/classic/hip hop/rap
Never metal/country/pop/classic rock
But i only play along with pop punk and alt rock
As their bass is never boring
Meaning that they have the energy
And meaning that they are essential for the band
...expect for the ones with repeated 8 notes per measure...
Back to my question,
I want to get a heavy deep sound
So it's anything but steel strings
Is there any set of strings for me?
