New strings for Schecter Stiletto Elite 5

I haven't replaced my strings yet for my Elite 5. I recently got some new Elixirs, which usually are out of my price range but I got them for $30, and now it looks like I will need to spend a little more because I didn't realize how long a 35" scale neck actually was, and the strings are too short!

So, anyways... I now know I need to get super long scale strings as some of you probably already know. What I want to know is what sets sound good with this particular bass. I've been looking at a few on Musiciansfriend, and what I've considered are maybe either Fender 8250s or D'Addario EXL170-5SLs. Like I said though, I really don't know what would sound good. If those suck, what else works?

Also, I don't know much about taperwound or flatwound or roundwound or whateverwound, and what would work best with my bass.
