Newbie Help Please! Flats on EB-0

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi Guys,

I've been a guitar player for 25 years and I've started falling in love with the bass after discovering short scale.

I bought an Epi EB-0 to get started along with some roto sound short scale flats (the only ss lats I could get on Denmark St, London).

After some setting up work, the action is good and with no buzz but....

I cannot get the E and A string to intonate, I run out of bridge.

The same strings go out of tune quickly.

The windings on the strings go over the saddle so i stripped them back to see if that helped. Helped tone but nothing else.

Does somebody have flats on the same bass and have a cure!

Thanks in advance.

W.
