Nickel Flats

Do these exist? And if so, what tone will the bring?

Note: the main reason I'm using nickel strings is for volume. I can't get a better amp, so the strings seem the best way to enhance volume.

I think Pyramid is one of the only nickel flats around these days. Beautiful traditional sounding flats.

I am not sure you will gain usable volume by using a string that gives higher signal output. Most amps have a preamp gain adjustment that compensates for variations in instrument outputs levels do to variation in pickups, strings, wiring, etc.

If you have an amp that need more input signal, you may want to look into an effects pedal that boost signal level. Especially if you are considering Pyramid Flats. I think they are pricey.

Have I do believe TI Flats are also some the highest output strings I've had, overdrive my ashdown sometime to a nice grindy sound.
