How do they compare? Which are the brighter of the two?

although i don't use sunbeams, i string my fretless with nickel lo-riders

my understanding is that the difference between the 2 and the reason they offer both is that the subeams are round core and feel 'slinkier' because they aren't as stiff as the hex-cored lo-riders...i would imagine the difference in the feel is pretty pronounced

Overall they are pretty similar IME. The difference in feel is not major, but the Sunbeams are noticeably more supple, the Nickel Lo Riders a tad stiffer. Tonewise, at least to my ears, the Lo Riders have a gutsier bottom and the Sunbeams have a livelier top end.
