Hi all,
I just did a search here and could not come up with a thread already dedicated to this subject. If there is one please point me in that direction.
I have a set of steel and nickel MTD 135x's and am curious. Which is brighter? Is one set more for a particular style of music?
Help here would be appreciated...

I just went back to steel (40-100 LaBella HRS) are using nickels (45-105 Sadowsky, TI SAs) for a while on my Sadowsky RV5. In this case I traded low mid punch and fatness of the nickels for higher mid clarity and cut of the steels. Playing classic rock and country I thought I was a nickel guy. But in the contemporary praise band I am a steel guy. |

steel-only please.
'Nuff said.
