Hi there,
just saw on the Dean Markley webpage!
They don't list these strings anymore!

Do you guys know about this?

I'm actually not too concern, I like the Medium-Light set better...

I am concerned because those are the strings I use. I have just checked the artist section and it shows him as not there anymore either. I wonder what happened. I hope they release a new heavier gauge or something!

I'd email them and ask them about it and then let us know here.

I just received a response from Dean Markley stating that it is true, Will Lee has left Dean Markley strings. Anyone know what strings he is using now?

I am still waiting for a response from them and I also asked if they will be releasing another gauge to replace it

By any chance did they tell you anything about a new gauge?

I'm curious, too.... it's odd that Will has changed.... he's always been proud about using/promoting those strings....

About the gauge:

Will 37, 47, 67, 87, 107, 127
Md 35, 48, 67, 84, 106, 127

They're so close, you would never tell... and BTW, I have phisically mesured them and I seriously doubt that DM manufactures different gauges like 47/48 106/107 and so on.... I personally think it's just marketing.... IMO

Is it just me, or does Will Lee endorse a lot of equipment? I mean, I have seen print ads of him for Radial saying "I'm never without my Bassbone...". When I saw him with the Fab Faux, where he switches between two different basses (and a logical situation to have and use it), he was without his Bassbone.

Boooooooooooo!!! I've been using them for years. Maybe they could pull a 5150/peavey and keep selling them under a different name.

He also says he used the Sadowsky DI, as the finest one he's ever used.

He's a bit of a ho.

I just tried a set of these for the first time this week. They are not bad I will probably still stick with my DR sunbeam mediums but it is too bad if they stop makeing them all together.

For some reason when i read this thread I'm reminded of the sponge episode of Seinfeld.

"I would like to play at that gig, but I don't think its 'Will' worthy"
