+1 on SIT Silencers. Awesome string. They're ground/pressurewound strings and have a lovely smooth feel, smooth, round, fat fingerstyle tone and a throaty old-school slap sound.

Plus they're not that expensive, so you don't have much to lose.

Not all ground/pressurewound strings are alike. For example, I hated Ken Smith Compressors. Surprisingly rough for pressurewounds and the tone was way too twangy.

GHS Pressure wound pretty smooth and still brite. TI Flats are not brite but are not deep and punchy like LaBella Deep Talkin Flats either.
