Nylon filament wound

I've been using Fender 7120 filament wound strings for a while. I like them, but it appears that Fender is discontinuing them. Anybody know of anything similar?

I've tried the nylon flat-wounds... but the filaments are the best compromise between nylon flats and rounds.

I've also tried some Rotosound nylon flat-wounds and they're about the same as the Fender nylon flats. Too plasticky.

I've tried the Fender 7120 strings twice. I've never played anything that feels or sounds similar. Ever. Very odd, loose feeling strings. I checked Fender's website for their strings and the nylon filament 7120s are no longer on the site, so they're probably discontinuing them. I don't think they were Fender's most popular string by far. I was always on the fence about these strings, and they took a lot of getting used to both times I bought them, but my local store does have plenty of them still in stock. Might buy a set or two just in case down the road sometime I feel like giving them another try.

I tried them once by accident and I hated them. Fender also has a "Nylon Tapewound" string which is different than the "Nylon Filament" string. I love the other Fender nylons.

Like Bassman316 I've never felt any other string like them; they are very unique. I would recommend that you take a look at some of the other nylons, specifically the LaBella "Deep Talkin' Bass" strings.
