nylon strings, do they sound moore upright bass'ish?
Is it possible to get some kind of "jaco" sound on these?
or are they to mellow...

I always thought regular flatwounds got a better sound for uprite tone, at least to my ears and experience. Jaco used roundwounds, I believe.

Yes, I use roundwound now, and there good for "jaco" sound(rear pickup, close to the bridg).
Picking at the lower part of the fretboard I get a decent upright'ish sound..

Just wanted to know if someone knew if nylon core strings where better than regular flatwound,
and if you can get a "jaco" type sound with them...
