nylon tapewounds: which manufacturer makes this?

Sign in to disble this ad
I saw a set of nylon tapewounds on a bass that has gold or yellow wrapping on the bridge end. They may also have the same colour wrap on the headstock end - it was a pic I saw.

Who makes them??
Thanks

I tried a set of the Fender Nylon wounds on my RH Jazz bass. There was hardly enough tension on the strings to be even playable?

Yup, really low tension.

I had a set of the Fender nylon rounds on my acoustic electric a while back. I agree with the low tension statements- they were VERY low tension strings. I do have a bass (electric semi-hollowbody) that I've been thinking about putting nylon tapewounds on. Are the Rotosounds higher tension than the Fenders?

They used to have yellow silk, then recently changed to gold stuff.
